Buddy of mine just posted this on Facebook - apparently this was aired last year, as well as yesterday. This is heartbreaking. No spoilers, watch the video.

To be honest, she would have probably wrapped that Porsche around a telephone pole in her front yard, while trying to back out.

I couldn't imagine the CA excise tax on a $92k car. It's my understanding that winners on the show are responsible for paying those taxes immediately upon receipt of the prizes.

Going to guess paying taxes on a 93,000 car isn't easy. Might be worth taking the prizes if you have no way to get the car.

And that in itself would buy a really good used car.

Chances are she would have needed $40,000 or so to collect the car.

You would sell the car, pay the taxes, and pocket the difference.

Damn I don't remember Barker's beauties being quite as attractive.

Can't. Have to pay the taxes before you own the car.

Hmmm... you mean registration? The income/prize taxes would be payable at a later date.

In California i believe it has to be paid immediately.
